I went to Spike Island and had to wait an hour till it opened and I was a little disappointed. There was one artwork I liked. I liked Bristol and people were quite friendly and helpful. I was just a little disappointed with the art Gallerys.
We were only in Bristol one and a half days mainly to visit a friend. One day we did some touring and saw the SS Great Britain, the suspension bridge and the camera obscura. Another hidden treat was the Blaise Hamlet where there were several cottages with beautiful gardens that you could see.
Bristol has so much going you won't be bored. The Harbourside area is vibrant and close to the Hipperdrome. There is shopping in the Centre as well as St Nicholas Market. Walking Tours, Banksy, Bars and Restaurants in abundance. Culture with the Cathedral and Art Museum both which are free to go in and you can just give a donation.
I love the place. Great restaurants and bars. Good live venues for music. Regular trains and connections. Beautiful historic buildings. Nice to see some real thought gone into cycling infrastructure. Good signage for cyclists and pedestrians getting around. Great to see projects which help to address homeless and substance abuse issues. A city moving forward.
Great for shopping, sightseeing and dining (including the SS Great Britain). Its very sad that there are so many homeless people sleeping on the streets. We gave money to some but the scale of the problem is enormous and the amount of begging is intimidating.
Bristol voted to remain in the EU. Well done you sensible lot. For that reason alone we shall return and spend our hard earned pension with normal people who appreciate art, history, other cultures and see other people from elsewhere as a positive and not a threat to their little bit of England. May the resistance continue against the threat of Tory backwardness

This hotel made my day! It’s close to the suspension bridge by car, and not far from the Ashton Court so it’s a nice choice if you wanna go and see the hot air ballon Festival. The room was so comfy for the king size bed and lovely bathroom. I really like the bath!!! And I didn’t expect for the air conditioner but it was there. The view outside window was nice. By the way all of the stuff was very friendly! They made a tasty breakfast with many fresh fruits. If I’m going to visit Bristol again I will definitely go back again.

The Double Tree by Hilton Bristol City Centre Hotel is very close to the railway station. It is very convenient and has a bus to the City Centre. The hotel has a fine decoration, and there is an elevator in the hotel lobby. The room is very clean and tidy, the air conditioning, TV, hair dryer, hot water bottle and other equipment are very complete, facing a church outside the window,so it is very quiet. The bathroom is also large, providing shampoo and shower gel and providing hot water for 24 hours a day.

The staff were very acomodating and made us feel right at home. I told the hotel it was my husbands birthday and in our room they had given us a complimentary bottle of red wine, a box of fudges, a slice of cake each and a card! They even upgraded our room to king superior. The hotel is right in the centre therefore a short walk to the shops, restaurants and bars. No noise very peaceful. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, but the staff were what made our stay. Deffinatley recommend.

This was our second stay at a Future Inn (previously in Plymouth) and were again impressed by the overall standard, comfort and friendliness of the staff. Unparalleled location for Bristol's city centre shopping with free parking a welcome bonus. Superior room was spacious, well furnished and surprisingly devoid of any external noise whatsoever for such a busy city centre location. Very good breakfast (apart from the poor orange juice disappointingly so common in hotels).
